What upgrades for 1200d?

ok i have a stock 96amp alt and i have the big3 done. Im getting a deka 9a78dt bc i have a gm car. I plan to run a 1200d off of it at 1ohm along with a mb quart pab2100.(100rmsx2). Assuming install is close to perfect will this hold up without lights turning off bc their dimming so bad? If so im goin to get a deka 9a31 for the trunk.

Do the big 3 upgrade with 1/0 wiring (there's a sticky for it) and also do your run to the amp with it as well. After everything is set up, test it at full tilt and see what you got. If you have dimming lights, you probably could get away with like a Kinetik HC800 battery in the rear.

I think at full tilt you will have dimming unless you have that G31 in the trunk. A HO alt should be in your future plans as well. You are not going to be able to wang out all the time with that small of an alt. You will have to moderate your wang time vs low volume time. Most likely, equal time should do.

It would make sense to, but it is not necessary. The audio is going pull most of it's power from the rear battery. You could just leave your stock battery up front and isolate the rear battery. Either way should be good.

i guess you have the mb quart 1200d as well? i have that same amp and a kicker for my fronts. i got the big 3 and extra battery. i get no dimming and my voltage stays at around 13.7 or so blasting it

No i plan to get the audioque 1200d and the MB quart PAB2100 for the fronts. Also what size alt do you have. and to the guy with the sae-1200d. Your profile says your running it at 4ohms? so 300watts at 12.8volts so about 500watts at 14.4volts. Im running it at 1 ohm now I need to update sig.
