Hey got a friend thats selling a 1200d Directed amp for $200 i was gonna buy it off em for my 12's audiobahn 500 watts a piece would that be a good deal and would make em hit right now i only got a 500 watt jensen sad i know

i'd grab it. May be a little much for your audiobahns. Whats the power handling on those subs. 500w rms?

I'd run Jensen way before i'd even think of buying audiobahn. My 400.4 Jensen amp for my 5.25's sounds very crisp.

if the amp is 1200watts is rms... go for it, but if not, im guessing ur gonna get screwed

no its 1200 rms and audiobahn at the time i got em cheap ill eventually upgrade but yeah its 1200 rms

Directed's website says the D1200 is 1200w MAX

that directed is a much stronger amp,you will hear the difference!

yeah thats what he was telln me to cause that jensen is really underpowering em. they dont hit like after vol 30 cause its underpowered so i have to keep in under that until i get a new amp thats why i was lookn at that 1200d so is that a good price on that guys though what ya think?

Considering its a $500 MSRP amp, for $200 i'd say its a steal. How did he run the amp? Gains set properly, etc?

he just ran it to 2 polk momos not very high powered models of those amps im not sure of the info of how he ran em though nothing special though i think. i think he just hooked everything up didnt really set nothing at least i dont think

go over there and take a quick look see to see if the gain is below half or cranked. if it was his first system he couldve thought it was volume not gain, never know.

I'd say it should be a good match for your subs.

Alright man ill check it i thought he said that he didn't really mess with the gain just that he put his subs in the box and powered em normally what he told me a while ago , but idk if he ever changed the settings on the amp but hows the price though is that good or a rip off?
