What to upgrade.

I am starting to get tired of having my bass at a level I enjoy, but barely being able to hear the lyrics. Its all stock except for the subs. I'm wondering if I should get a better Head Unit to push more power to my speakers, or to upgrade my door speakers, or to install some tweeters myself.

Upgrade door speakers and amp them.

replace stock speakers and add an amp to them. u will hear the lyrics just fine then. what do u have in ur vehicle 6x9s, 6.5s? what would u be willing to spend?

My explorer fits 4 6x8s in the doors, and I'm looking for around 400 dollars max on the speakers & amp combined, I'll get them installed at Best Buy, I'm not really comfortable tooling around with ym car's electrical system

I like my Kenwood + Rockford combo, so if I do this, I'll probably end up getting these

Like i said, I'm not really comfortable with myself doing it, they did an okay job with the subs, if they're that bad, I'll look into a dedicated car audio store around here.

best buy will be cheaper than car audio store. but u should check into trying it urself sometime. save money and its really simple to do.
