what to look for to determine sealed or ported

what imfo or numbers do i need to check to see if a sub is best suited for ported or sealed. and what is the range on those specs to tell whats best

It's called efficiency bandwidth product. You use only 2 of the t/s params.... the Fs and the Qes.

i believe low fs, high qts and high xmax are good candidates for sealed

I read somewhere where less than 50 was good for sealed and higher for ported? Correct or no?

ok got that but once i get the figures what am i looking for to tell me whats the best application,,

Less than 50, it wants a sealed box

50-90 you can go either way

above 90 wants a ported box
