What to expect from t1 10s?

Hey guys I am pretty new to the whole car audio thing. Got my first car civic 2000 si. I've always been a fan of earth shaking, gut feeling bass. You know the bass that hurts in the chest? Yep i love that stuff. I came across a sweet deal from a closing store and picked up 2 10 inch rockford fosgate t1s for 200 bucks brand new. I got a 2 mono block amps giving around 700 RMS to each sub. I have made a box for them but it didnt fit in my trunk grrr. It was 4cubes at tuned to 35hz. I've made a new one that fits in my trunk. Its a bit smaller 3cubes tuned to 33hz. So my question is to you guys, what can i anticipate with this setup. Anyone got any experience with the t1s? Thanks for your input guys.

Two (2) Rockford Fosgate T1 10 inch.

Box: 3 cubes tuned to 33hz.

Around 700 RMS to each sub.

Two (2) Hifonics nemesis Nx750s strapped.

T1s get fairly **** loud, my friend has 2 12" ones and his car pounds harddd. 3 cubes should be pretty good, might be a tad big but the box will just be a bit more efficient. Db wise, it all depends what car and how well the box was made but i'd expect mid 130's

So, the newer, smaller box is tuned lower? Did you sacrifice port area, even more internal volume, or both? Im confused why when needing to reduce your box so drastically, you actually chose to tune lower as well. Just curious.

i got the 12 inch one's and thay do get loud!!But sealed works best for me.Box ..is 170cuft each .With 1200rms watts sealed it's Fu%K loud..

Thats retarded, don't listen to that. Entry level... bah

I have a single 15 T1 and even though its a much different size, I'm sure the basic structure is the same. I've been throwing 1200 watts RMS at my T1 for 2 years, and it has been put through all kinds of sound offs and test tones. My best score to date is 143 dB.

PS - the new box is a much better size I think. 4 cubes for 2 10's seems a little large.

Not true...a Punch 2 or 3 is upper entry level, not the Power's. T1s can take some abuse. They do love ported. I don't see why 3cu@33 would be bad for them audioholic? 3cu ft is about perfect for them, even though I would tune a little higher, like 35hz like you had before. It should sound pretty **** good, especially for your first setup

The reason in which my second box is 1cube smaller than my first box is because i was looking at the specs for 12 in t1 sub which is 2 cubes. The prefab box for a t1 10 is 1.5. Also the trunk opening of a civic is very gay. So having those measurements in mind i adjusted the box. I don't know if im correct but i heard somewhere that lower frequency plays lower notes better. So i thought id tune it a bit lower. We shall see this weekend how it goes down. I will keep you guys updated. Pics coming this weekend. thanks for all your help.
