What To Do????

Obviously in a typical transaction videos aren't exactly proof, but these are forums and if he took a quick video of what was wrong like you said maybe it was something mechanical or stuck in the gap.
Also, video of sending out bstock subs wouldnt be a bad idea for a business, either.
I agree, it wouldn't hurt at all. I know I took several videos at various manufacturers I have worked for. However, on the same hand I had some come in there were tore down and rebuilt with a quick test in a box and back out in less then a day. Which makes taking the time to take a video or even remembering to do so a bit hard.
While I typically operate under that warranty process as do most companies, and it proves to be no issue - in light of this customer making a thread and feeling completely wronged (of which we would have warrantied the item after testing, and it would be clear the difference between UPS damage and possible customer misuse). We are just going to completely refund his purchase and pay return shipping and eat the loss. I would rather eat the loss and show you all that in no way are we shady and continue to provide for our customers in the best fashion we can.

Had we gone through the normal warranty process rather then a refund anyway, the customer would have been sent a BRAND New sub over the B-Stock 12 that was damaged if that was the case. Nor would he have to wait for UPS claims, I would have dealt with that on my end and just shipped the new subwoofer. All in all though, the customer is being issue a refund and the subwoofer sent back to us, for whatever reason whether his fault or not - I just want him to feel satisfied.
OK now i have a problem. were the subs we purchased not only used but also B stock used? Or were they brand new used? If they were B stock AND used i believe we overpaid and i also believe that the issues @rdlyn13000 is seeing are very possibly even less his fault or the fault of UPS. nowhere in the original ad did it state whether these were b stock or not.

Would the box say B stock anywhere on it? It was shipped double boxed and i am pretty sure i saved both boxes in case i decided to sell it later.

The For Sale ad/thread definitely did not indicate that these were B-stock.
Just the opposite, in fact!

The 2 I bought are still packed just as received, and there is no indication on the boxes that they were B-stock, as Kevin now seems to be claiming....and denying that anything is wrong with what he did, lmao

Was thinking about picking up some skar subs to play with. Might skip that idea now due to all the complaints unless he is willing to ship first.

Would you like to buy two "pig in a poke" Skar subs from me at a discount?

I won't be running the mutherfukkers.... I would rather get poked in the eye with a sharp stick and be made to run a half-busted Pyle or Boss than to have any of my friends see these in my ride.

Fukk Skar Audio

I've seen about 3 or 4 "B" stock subs from Skar shipped locally and all of them have been in mint condition and played correctly.

Now did the OP try another sub in this situation or is he blindly leading into blaming the sub while the problem could easily be elsewhere?

I know Kevin has some sketchy history but I have not met anyone personally who has been wronged with the actual Skar equipment.

Think you might be "blindly" commenting.

Try reading thru the thread: This is not simply about the functionality issue the OP had with the sub he purchased, but is also about Kevin misrepresenting the subs in the For Sale thread as being something they weren't.

So a couple weeks ago I picked up a Skar Audio VVX-12 Directly from Kevin. It was one of them 4-12's he had for sale that he had in a customers car for a week then pulled because he didnt pay. He sold me the sub for $140 shipped which I thought was a fair price so I grabbed it.
The item was used as the OP stated They were in a car for a week or so. So after receiving them back Kevin tested them and dated it. So any items removed from its package and used for a short while is A stock? No its B-stock, which i see btw the op even said he knew this.

I read the whole thread and the op's concern WAS the functionality. The sub IS b-stock. You would have ate him up if Kevin Advertised those subs as new and found out they were in someones car.

Do you know what b-stock is?? Let me google that for you

Like any B-stock item you buy you take a chance. I dont see anything wrong with what happened here. Except the fact Kevin is eating the cost just to make the guy happy. Im glad he took the time to resolve this so it can just be something else the bashers can pile onto.

As for the whole "videoing' issue, what company is gonna take that kind of man power on a daily basis to record products working for there customers. Its like you guys think he sells 3-4 subs a day and that practices like that are normal. There not he doesn't just sell to forum people and wanting a person to do such a menial task is not warranted. Unless you require all your products to be filmed working before buying it.

I know the flamers are gonna flame so have at it, i know i have bought many many many subs from him with no problems. My 4500's hit my door step as promised so i can definitely say he keeps his promises.

Last week Kevin sent me a shipping label and I packaged up the vvx-12 and shipped her out. Today the subwoofer arrived at Skar and he refunded me within 6 hours of it arriving. Thanks Kevin
