I have some CDT 62-HDs for the front and I want something in the back. i know it doesnt need to be much thats why im not putting anything big there. Would it be effective midbass if I just got one pair of SSMB8s for the rear deck? thats really all im looking for right now from the rear. keep in mind i will probable have a ported L7 in the trunk.

Thanks guys.

Just get some nice cheapos off ebay. I've got some Kenwoods that I found for like 50 bucks and they get the job done.
well i can get the kickers for cheap. im not really concerned about price right now. im looking for an effective setup and then i will decide wether or not thats what i want to do. im just afraid with the sub you wont hear the MB's. Or will they work great once i set the crossovers?

what im going to do is get componets for my front stage running off an amp, and just get a decent pair of coaxials for the back and run the rears off my HU.

i could do that, but my current infinitys create 0 midbass off my pioneer. thats why id be looking to get something with some midbass.

You don't want midbass in the rear. The sub(s) would drown them out anyway.

RMB8's need to be bandpassed. Kind of a pita. I found that my Infinity Reference 3-way 6X9's had more output at 40 Hz than my RMB8's did, and they don't need crossovers if run off HU power.

would a set of KS 5.25 compnents be a good set from the rear? i dont want to spend too much but I want something that will sound good. If I go up to the RS line, could I actually hear a difference?

also, when the 4ch goes off the preamps does the power of the amp add to the RMS of the HU, or does it bypass that completely?

thanks

when amping you're negating/bypassing the HU power. RCAs just carry the signal, no real power is transfered through them.

as of rite now i have a pair of type r comps and a little 10 inch SPL sub...and the highs and MB overpowers the sub...so unless u really want to hear ur highs then u should be alrite with just fillers in the rear, prolly just like some kenwoods or pioneers...seriously u dont even need them, unless uve got just overpowering thumpin bass, ull be fine wtih just a pair of nicley powered comps

that is one confusing group of words. so just a base Kicker KS line of comps would be nice back there?
