CDT tweeters just stopped working

did you try taking it off and hooking it back on? also were crossovers set on it? thats how i blew my first set of tweets, my crossovers weren't there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Which x-overs and which tweets?

The 456 x-overs have a protection circutry that cuts the tweets out when they are in danger. The 3/4" tweets are terrible at times with blowing. Just what I have found in my experience with them.

my 480 tweet att selection have slide switches. I thought mine both died too...slide the switch and see. the tweets worked on the image terminals, so i just slid the switch and the other fired right up.

were you running the QAA on them?
Yup! I fried them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Everything checked out okay but the tweets are smoked. My audio guy wants to put Piezos on them so in the event I play them hard they will cut out until they cool down instead of blowing. Does this make sense? We are also going to adjust them down a bit (even though I loved the way they were playing). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif
