What To Choose?

I currently have Focal 165v1's for my fronstage but I'm looking to get louder while sounding very clean and crisp, what would be the best choice. $500 spending limit.

Focal Polyglass 165 V3E (3-way setup)

Focal 165 K2P

might also be able to get Focal Utopia 165w3's for around the same price (3-way setup)

I would rather have a 2-way setup do to space but if a 3-way setup would sound louder and cleaner than I will go with something else. Thanks

the k2's are nice

espescially the upper end 750$ ones haha

any focals are good dude, and they're subs sound so nice and get so loud..its insane

the focal k2p.. lets see.. heard it in my dealer's car. i thought it was very clear and crisp and definitely loud. however, it was pretty harsh. had i listened any longer, my would've been fatigued. germaniums? havent heard em, but many people on here have. check out headless' thread on them. but k2p vs. germs.. i'd go germs.

i am using the cdt cl entry leve components and cant rave enough about how great they sound and how silky and clear the tweeters are. They have top fo the line Eurosports line for $500, i heard them at car show and i was in love with the accuracy and sound quality of them.

i have heard the focal and they sound great but they tweeter is sharp and harsh that i can not stand. i suggest the cdt euroline es620.

I've decided to not go with 3-ways cuz I don't really feel like modifying anything in my brand new car. How would the Boston Pro 60's compare to the other components listed, I know they get loud I'm just kinda worried about the midbass.

I have had the k2p's as well as the Germs. The Germs in my opinion out shine the k2p. especially for the price diff. to put it in perspective for you. I compete and I have been running the Germs this season and I have taken 2nd at 2 regional events and 3 rd at another regional event. 2 of the events the guy who beat me was running Rainbow platnuims and I know him very well. the other show I lost to a guy running Focal Utopia BE's and I did not lose becasue his system sounded better. The judges were very shocked at how well the Germs sounded and after what I told them they cost they almost pasted out. that is just my .02. I like focal but I love my Rainbows.
