I got a weird problem....theres a switch underneath my dash near the accelerator & brake...when i turn the key past the ON position the engine makes a strange noise...might be the starter....not the normal griding/scatching noise...and when i turn the key back into the ON position and flip this switch the starter makes that griding noise...and also if i have the switch flipped to I guees the off position the ignition doesnt turn over or anything doesnt crank or nothing..but behold when its flipped to the supposed on position it cranks? SOOOOO do you guys think this is a toggle switch for my starter(does that sound moronic? doesnt sound right hah) its grounded...and I think the other wire goes to the starter not sure....what do yall think? ive asked some people and they dont know...its definately not factory...and my grandpaw passed away and thats who i bought this truck from.....IM through

Yep sounds like the hillbilly starter disable function. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ( I'm a hillbilly too ) We used to use the cigarrette lighter for this as well. In order to start the car you had to push the lighter in. Kind of James Bondish but still pretty cool //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

neat idea. I used the button on my ebrake.

also a lot of people tie it into the parking lights, so you have to turn them on to start the car. also seen it on the door lock switch to hold lock to start it. pushbuttons/toggle switches under the dash, etc. the coin holder is a pretty cool idea though, unless you keep it full of coins :p
