So, Tuesday i moved out to Paoli, PA (about 15 miles southeast of philly PA) and i just got settled in, got all my stuff unpacked. Im kinda bored, so what sounds, delicious? A nice cold beer, or two, or six. So i go to the gas station to make the purchase, much to my surprise... nothin. I try another, nothin, a third, and nothin. Finally i ask the dude at the gas station, what's going on, is this a dry county or whatever? He says no, it's not sold at gas stations, convenient stores, grocery stores, and very few restaurants have it, and that i'd have to go to what's called a "beer distribution center" to buy some...

WTF is up with this? does anyone else live somewhere with a situation like that?

no, they have "county distribution centers" it just kind of struck me as odd, when i lived in ohio, i could just hit up any gas station and get a 6 pack.

When me and my wife went to get some beer on our honeymoon at Cove Haven we found beer at the local convience store. It was wierd though, I had to buy my own and she had to buy her own and I could only carry mine as she had to carry hers out. Was fawking wierd as hell!

PA does have some nice sights though, but people there are strange.

Always weird to go to a different state and see different alcohol laws and what not.

I was down in Florida over Christmas, and they have drive-through hard liquor stores.

In Md/DC its like that too. Liquor/Wine/Beer is only sold at Liquor stores. Nowhere else.

NJ you can only buy really from liquor stores and bars... when i went to maine to visit my sister it was weird to me that 7/11, gas stations, delis and shit carried beer

alot of the subways around here are owned by indians, theyre kinda hard to understand sometimes

yea here liquor store only, and until 12. But im about 5 mins from wv and they are open till 2
