From what I gather out of Noah's post I am now under the assumption that this simply isn't the case.
Don't get me wrong ~ I'm not trying to bag on Justin....I've got no beef with him at all. But yet again it smacks glaringly of favoritism to me. "X" person is guilty of something that we're gonna stay on his case about. It doesn't get corrected after repeated discussions so it results in a ban. But, if "Y" person does the very same thing then no sanctions are applied to them?
Le sigh.
It just adds to the list of reasons why I would not care to be a part of the moderation team to save my life. Like anything else that a human being or beings are placed in charge of, there is too much room for potential error.
Every post Mark has on the forum has the URL to his business website contained in the signature. No, it isn't a live, clickable link, but the address is there plain as day. How in the world isn't that advertising whereas what Dave had going somehow crosses the line?
I don't mean to specifically call out Mark, either. I haven't spent any $$$ with him so there's no beef between he and I either ~ he just unfortunately happens to be a convenient example of what I see as a truly detestable double-standard.
