I've searched and searched and searched these forums for what clipping is and I still don't really understang what clipping is can someone please tell me what it is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

clipping is what happens in an analog to digital converter when the analog voltage is too high for the digital domain (0dB...FS I think). basically they have to equate the voltage to a number, and if you record in 16bit, the max number is 32768; if the voltage equates to something over 32768, it's gonna clip.
