the variety of subwoofers would depend on how deep your pockets are and what exactly are you looking for? A LOT of bass would mean SPL, not SQ...none at all? There are subs with a good balance of both, but of course, at a cost. JL W0 series aren't exactly what I would say are SPL subs. THey are entry level subs.

well i want something thats goin to slam but i dont want it to sound like crap either. so i guess i would wanna go in between the two. High efficency (street bass)

well i wanna run atleast two 12" kinda want to run three but if i can get two to sound just as loud thats fine. price range around 400. I know im cheap. thanks

$400 can get you good subwoofers...

you can chosoe to get a single VERY good SQL sub, or numerous lower level subs to maximise SPL at the cost of SQ. I thinkt he second might be what you're looking for. You also want to show it off, so the butt-ugly (but very good, I've heard) Shiva is out of the question.

You're likely to hear about ED K's, RE SE's, Type R's. All have their own cahractieristics, so listen to those who have had previous experiences with them. I'd go all out and buy myself a single 12" brahma.

oh, and the 400, does that price include an amp? if it is, then you're on a single shiva level and one amp.

well, the W0's have very little xmax, and brahmas can reach over 50mm peak to peak... but three W0's...i dunno man... it would depend on the box and amp.

W0's are 150W RMS, brahma is 1600W RMS. Only seen it perform in videos and the monster looks straight out scary. You'd need a very large box to accomodate three 12" drivers and ports. A single brahma might be easier to work with.

The XXX would be in the same league as the brahma. XXX has quad voicecoils. I still don't know how they connect it.

If SPL is all you want, then get an audiobahn instead. Your bass will be loud...muffled, but loud.

2 12" or 15" RE SE's will run you under $400...

As for power, JBL 1200.1 will do nicely...
snova, did your friend get the replacement sub yet?

the SE's were the entry level, right? Or was that the HC?
