what subs?

i have an alpine mrd 605 mono amp that puts out 600rms. I had two 1000watt pioneer with a rms of 400 per sub but the amp(on low settings) was overworkin the sub. im not a baller so i was gonna go with power acoustik 700 rms subs. good or bad?

you did not even give a model number, just said 700 watt sub. That doesnt do much good.

Looking for sq, sql, spl? how much space? That amp does full power at 2 ohms, correct?

yeah its full power is at 2 ohms. sl, sq sp? its all french to me. this is my first system. the subs are power acoustik fubr dvc 1800 watt max 700 rms. my box is approx. 2.5'' x1'' ft

i bought the box from a pawn shop. all i know is that its vented and holds 2 12's

with that amp i would say just get a type r d-4 and have someone build you a ported box. you will be much happier with that than the fubar
