You'd have room for a couple more deebeez with a future amp upgrade. But a couple IDQV3's would do fine on that power as is.

The birthsheet on the amp states that it is actually 575x1 @ 4 ohms

underpowered only if you want more output from them. Every time you turn the volume down, your speakers are underpowered

I would also be willing to run just one sub, if (1) better quality sub would be better than (2) ok subs.

all things being equal , 2 subs will get louder than 1 sub off the same power

Get a pair of IDs off ebay. They would like that amount of power, sound awesome, get pretty loud, and don't need much space. It would be like 250$ for the pair.

Just make sure you get a real box for them, have one built you will not get eh sound you are looking for with a pre-fab box.
