What subs for my Tahoe

I am doing a Tahoe build. I want it to be loud but still have sq. I don't care about wattage I will buy an amp(s) that fits. I have a total of 11 cubes (I prefer sealed) to work with and the budget is under $1000 for the subs. I get mtx's at wholesale so that is a plus. I have a pair of FI SSd's 12's in my Infiniti and I love them (thanks Scott). I also have 4 ed 8's out of my powestroke. that I loved as well. I have tried a few different setups, but I have never had 15's or 18's. Are they "worth it" What do you all recommend. Thank you!

Thank you for all of the suggestions. How "good" are the fi's for sql? I dont want to sacrifice too much sql for spl. How much wattage do the fi's want. I can go ported but I have yet to build a ported setup that I liked.

Thank you to all. I have decided to go with 2 18's. Now I just need to narrow it down to these 4 choices "only"; fi q, ed 19ov2, mach 5 ixl, or mj18. I am down to less than 5 cubes each.

If money is not an issue, I'd go Fi Q 18 no BP needed.

I'd kick out the ED right away.

MJ's are pretty cheap and decent, but won't maximize the amp (2 ohm).

Mach 5 ixl sort of have the same issue (d2).

I say fi q 18 d1 (x2) hands down.

in 18-20 cubes at 28Hz

Just run my single 15'' TC-5200, strap 2 sundown 1500's to it in a nice size box. youll have loudness and SQ and lows like a mother ****er, ive herd of people hittin 150 on a single 15'' tc 5200 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

he has an under $1000 budget //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Alright the 2 choices are the q and the mj18. the mj is half the price so I can pay for more amp to make up for the ohm's. The mj18 is rated at 700 versus the q at 1000 so I need 1400 vs 2000 watts, which will be a big difference in the amp I choose as well. What is the better "bet". I will spend the money if it is worth it but I don't want to "redo" this system. Also what will sound better with less than 5 cubes?

I re-read your post. Sorry about 18-20 cubes.

Yes the fi q18's will be great in 5 cubes each

sealed. On an AQ-2200d. No BP needed on the

Fi Q 18's.

If your going less than 5 cubes each by much,

the MJ's will work well in 3.5+ sealed, and you could

do a kicker 1500.1 or even the same AQ-2200d.

You could PM Rashadd, he has that setup in a trunk car.

The AQ-2200d does 1300w or so at 2 ohms.

Either choice is good, but the fi Q' 18s on a little over

5 cubes sealed is better.

I think I am going to need to go with the mj's. In order to have enough room for my amps, my box is going to be a total of 8.7355^3 the most I can get is 10.7 but I don't know where I will put the amps. I can get away with 9.5 max if i Hide one of my amps. These measurements do not include driver or bracing. Fi's website says the q goes down to 4 cubes, will it not sound very good that low?
