I currently have two 18'' q's and just 1 sundown 1500 running at 1 ohm to them. I have them up for sale and want to possibly do 6 12's like some RE Se 12's or something along those lines. Affordable but still very strong subs. I have two sundown 1500's I can run so lmk what you all may suggest as I am open for suggestions and getting rid of the two 18's i have.

4-6 15's would do what I want too also.

Guys let me know if any of you have equipment or ideas for me as I got tons of space and really am trying to acheive a 150db score with some alright sq to go with it.

Or what about McCains other 18 fi q that is a dual 2 ohm?

Can I just wire this one in with the other two that are dual 1 ohm and run both my sundowns to them strapped? Is this safe and what ohm load would it be if it is even possible to do. I would prob have to do a series and parallel wiring job hugh to get a low ohm load but not too low?

why 12s and 15s? seems as though you're trying to keep somewhat of a budget... if i were you i'd do 4 q 18's and spend the money you save from all the extra motors on more power for them. they'll easily take 1k each.

I was looking at some RE Audio Se series I beleive on ebay and they were like $100 or so shipped for 12's. So I could sell what I got and maybe spend $100 and have a whole lot more cone area and be able to use both of my amps wide open as I currently cannot. If I buy two more 18's which would be cool I would be out at least $600 or so and would have the same cone area as the 6 12's??

That was the route I was thinking about but wanted to see if someone on here had a couple subs laying around that may work for me.

However I have heard I can run my sundowns at .5 ohm but have never tried it and strapped at .5 a piece I could put out a whole lot more. Would I be able to do this if I only bought 1 18 q that was dual 2 ohm to go with my pair of dual 1 ohms I already have? Does anyone know if this would work right and not damage anything?
