Not even close to a brown recluse. This seems to be the default answer in all "What is this spider" threads. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

yeah you're right most likely but out here in the country so to speak, all spiders are treated the same. if i can identify after its smashed with a shoe then so be it. but with so many more of them being poisonous around here i'm not taking chances with my 5yr old daughter or our two small dogs

it does appear to be a brown recluse. i cant remember if the male and female have different markings or not though.

if it is and you get bit you could end up with something like this>>>>

GAWD DAM.... If all spiders did dat we'd be fcked. Those lil fckers are hard to get rid of.

I hate bugs. Makes you wonder how nothing has come out of all this genetic engineering to make spders like aracnaphobia spiders. I watched all the Resident Evil movies last night so my brain is on SCI FI mode. Go Alice!

I'm going to go with the extremely rare sabre tooth bird killer. A highly elusive species that sneaks into your house when you are not looking. Has a 99.99% chance of getting away with it due to it's ability to keep it's eyes on you and where it is going at the same time.

It's most certainly a grass spider. The long thorax is the key to identifying them. Pretty harmless.
X2

Definitely not a brown recluse.

You can tell a recluse by the 3 sets of paired eyes(6 total). If you want to get that close. It's rare in the spider kingdom, or so I read. The marking on the back can fool you as there is one spider I know for sure has the same markings and lack of color the recluse has. It is hard to distinguish between the two unless both are large spiders.
