what speakers can i fit into a cavalier?

according to crutchfield, the 2002 cavalier fits 4x6's in the front and 6x9's in the rear *cringe*.

im helping a friend with his system. will anything else fit in there with little/no modifications? i was thinking some 4" components up front then just some coax's in the rear

hehe its a pretty hammered car, and he's on a tight budget, from the looks of it, prolly gonna do some 6x9's in the rear and somehow mod a way to get some 4" comps in the front. did some searching around and found some cavaliers with 4" component systems. He's also got one of those 10" basslink subwoofer thigns form bestbuy with a built in amp he scored for free, so should be an okay little combo

6.5's up front with metra part # 89-3300 i believe, its a 4x6 to a 6.5" speaker adapter, although the 4 door versions dont leave much depth or clearence

I would just run some 6.5" in the back if I was you. I have a pair of alpine type s speakers that I could sell you. They are pretty decent speakers and sound good. I am just replacing them and don't really have a use for them anymore. Send me a pm if you are interested.

I would also recommend if he can afford it just get some mid level components for the front he should be pretty happy with that.
