What speakers and amp would you get

I have a Honda Ridgeline that I'm going to be installing a new system. I went to a shop and this is what we came up with:

Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS

6 1/2 Comps Infinity Kappa 60.11

6 1/2 Coaxs Infinity Kappa 62.11

Avionixx SXD 1600.4

Avionixx SXD 2000.1

2 10" Kicker CRV's

I picked the Head Unit but everything else was the installers idea. I'm not to sure about the Infinitys because the tweeters are to bright for me and I would like a little more bass from them. As far as the Avionixx amps, I have never heard of them so I'm a lilttle leery about them.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Somebody told me about RE XXX's and I've been reading about Precision Power amps. I'm not trying to be heard from blocks away (been there done that) but I do want a clean hard hitting sound that's waaaayyyy better than stock.

Start over, try Sundown, Soundquebed, C2 audio, Tantric, or others can chime in. Precision power makes some decent entry level stuff. Im guessing you were about to taken to the cleaners on that stuff.

Price was $2200 and a additional $700 if they did my rear camera and alarm. I used to do my own install (last time was about 7 years ago) but had a recent surgery so I was looking for shop that I "might" have do it. Doing everything myself is still not out of the question. I would like to keep it in the $2000 price range if a shop does it and a lot less if I decide to do it myself. Like I said earlier, I would like more bass out of my mids with very clear notes and a hard hitting bass from my woofers. I'm 46 and listen to mostly R&B and occasionally Rap and Rock. I don't need it blocks away loud but maybe just 1/2 a block loud:naughty: Here's some of the prices I was quoted:

6 1/2 Comps Infinity Kappa 60.11 $350

6 1/2 Coaxs Infinity Kappa 62.11 $169

Avionixx SXD 1600.4 $350

Avionixx SXD 2000.1 $350

2 10" Kicker CRV's $80 x 2

I already can beat other part like attenna adapter, sirus con, sterring wheel & brake bypass etc.... by a couple hundred.

Even though I've always done my own installs, I consider myself a newbie after reading what you guy are doing.

wife has honda pilot with jl audio c5-563 3 way components up front(ebay 400.00 new)jl audio 10w3v3-4 in factory sub location(ebay 90.00) kenwood DNX890HD(kenwood(1 yr kenwood warranty) factory refurbished 650.00).fully loaded with everything you would want on a head unit.very reliable garmin gps.jl audio HD 900/5 amplifier (ebay 615.00(3 year square trade extended warranty).mechman 240 amp alternator upgrade 400.00(with alt. upgrade no need for extra batteries or capacitors ect.)wire upgrade to 1/0 OFC power and ground under hood and going to amplifier.and that amp still allows 2 channels in case you want rear speakers.amp is 100w RMSx4 and sub 1x500w RMS,and those are watts produces from 11 volts and up and at any ohm level you would like.it still produces same power.most amps sold today have power rated at 14.4 volts and the power goes down when you go from 4 ohms to 2 ohms.make sure you look at that when looking at other amplifiers.

he is right.i buy everything outside of a store even wire.but use a authorized car audio dealer to do install.so if something is messed up,goes wrong,or even a year later something happens the installer is responsible.plus when you do it you always end up making 50 trips to your dealer to get things you didnt think of or you have to order them and your install is on hold until your part comes in.just let them do it in a day or 2 and its done and has a warranty
