What size sub?

Okay, I have a 2002 Altima and am currently running a set of infinity perfect 6.5 components up front and Infinity Kappa 6x9's in the rear. I want to add a sub but am unsure of what size to get. I am looking at either a 12w6v2 or a 10w6v2. I am going for SQ and don't want it to be really boomy. Just nice, clean, tight and loud, if that makes sense. I will have a sealed box for it. I also plan on putting another set of Perfect components in the door(or a pair of 2 ways) if that makes any difference. Please help me out, so I can get to picking an amp. Thanks for any input.

Also, if there are better SQ subs for the money, let me know. I heard the IDMAX10 is better "for the money", but it's still $399 at most online stores. I thought it was suppossed to be cheaper than JL. Well, amyways let me know your opinions...

Ascendant Audio, FI, RE, TC Sounds. Those companies all have great sq subs. I'd take anyone of those over a JL sub anyday.

Also, I'd go with an 18.

Read over that thread. It will be a nice reference if you dont have the chance to listen to the subs before buying. IDMAX and JL W6 10" subs get owned by a $100 Phoenix Gold RSD10 not only in loudness but SQ as well. I've got one on the way right now.

the 3000 is on sale so its actually is cheaper. They are EXCELLENT SQ and can get loud if you want

BTW the output of 1 12" is around the output of 2 10's

Thanks, I think I've narrowed it down to the FI Q10 or the TC 3000 12. The RE SX10 is too expensive at $420? Anyone heard both of these subs? Any opinions between the 2? Which is better SQ? Thanks again.
