what pc speakers to buy?

I want a 2.1 setup for my computer and heres what I find

klipsch promedia 2.1: loud as hell,sub distorts on lowest notes,hissing noise from speakers

Logitech 2300- awesome sub, speakers sound crappy to me

question is can i match up a set of creative gigaworks T40 speakers with a logitech sub? will it connect?

z2300 is good enough for me. the sub is awesome. but yeh the speakers are lacking, after awhile i got used to them

I have some old Altecs, they are nice. Sub and 2 speakers, im actually gonna be selling them soon.

as long as the creative speakers are powered, they should work with another brand subwoofer?

My Logitech Z-5300's are baller as hell. Sub is wayy too loud. Even with my PC EQ setting the lows really low.

get some nice studio monitors.

some are very very expensive(like thousands and thousands)lol

but u can get a decent set of studio monitors for like 300 ish.

the difference in sound is amazing from just normal crappy computer speakers.

u get what you pay for..

the 2300 sub sounds real good. maybe i will get the logitech setup for the sub and see if i can pair up the 2 main speakers of choise

Look into M-Audio.

They usually make pro-audio (PC soundcards and speakers), but they also make some self powered PC speakers that have a good reputation.

I've had a few sets of Logitechs Z line (several 2.1's and 5.1's). All were terrific!
