LOL Ive always wanted this done. PLUS I dont think Rob had black headlights so me>Rod Dydrek

I am not trying to make them look super good. I just dont have a jack or proper materials to easily get the wheels off the car. I am eventually gonna get some 22"s just wanna do some temporary blacking out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Heres a pic of my explorer

jack and wrench should be in the trunk area probably under the false floor.... i would take them off so that the paint doesnt get on the car!!

LOL Now if I had a jack that can lift up the whole front or rear now that would be easier. The jack the comes with the car only jacks up one tire. So Id have to do all 4 tires seperatley.

I dont think there would be a point to pay to get the powdercoated when I am definetly upgrading to actually black 22"s in the future.
Then take the money you were gonna use to buy sandpaper/masking tape/primer/paint/clear coat, and put it in the "22's fund" and DO NOT waste your money.

Sandpaper/maskin/primer/paint/clear coat = $15 rims = 1200-1400. That 15 bucks wont make a difference.

take off your bumpers, door handles, mirrors and paint them before you do the wheels. those plastic pieces make me want to cry.
I am getting those done professionally..... so I am waiting for the funds to do so.

Get some Krylon (fusion) Gloss black and Krylon clear and do the trim pieces.. if u have ANY experience at all u wont jack it upp as bad as you think.. and whatever you do CANT look any worse than the grey trim
Thing is I DONT have any expierence at all with painting shit. As far as doing the prep, sanding, primer, and all that shaz.

Meh, I've never seen rattle can have a good outcome. Decent, yea, but why bother doing it decent just to re-do it again?

Spray-bomb the rims for now and dash for a good deal on ebay or something to replace it soon.

I am thinking of just finding 4 of the spare rims any opinions on that? I got one on from when I had a flat thinking about finding 3 more

Lol, that would look terrible in my opinion. And I agree with everyone that said paint that crappy looking gray trim before doing the rims. It will cost the same and IMO would look 1234125 times better than leaving the trim and painting the rims. Why do you think you wont mess up the rims but you will mess up the trim?
