Yeah for that Anthony Hamilton...that's my guy right there. You heard his newest album? Not Soulife (even though it was put out 6 months ago of this year), Ain't Nobody Worrying is it....it's deeso.
I won't even mention....Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On, Curtis Mayfield's "Gimme Your Love" (off Superfly) and some good 'ol Isaac Hayes (like "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight"). And you GOT to have some Barry White. "Love Serenade" is that SHIT! 90% instrumental with some smooth talkin' here & there. You could get a little 80s with it with some "Between the Sheets" (Isley Brothers). That's usually what I would wanna play, but seeming as how I'm only 21, not a lot of girls can "dig" that type of music while gettin' it on.
That's when you break out that old school Jodeci (K-CI & Jojo solo are horrible). Let me tell you, "Forever My Lady", "Stay", "Come & Talk to Me", "Cry For You", "Feenin'", and "Freek N' You" always gets the job done. Then you know some Kells' 12-Play gotta be thrown in that playlist. Mix in some H-Town (Fever for da Flavor) with the classic "Knockin' da Boots" and you got yourself some good ol' *** music. Most contemporary R&B (say post-1998) can't even compare, but I may throw on Alicia Keys' "Diary", and some Floetry. Paul Hardcastle (smooth jazz artist) is what I'm gonna try next. Find his stuff he did while part of the Jazzmasters group. He's got Smooth Cuts floatin' around too. Some Sade works well too. My favorite song is "Cherish the Day". When that bassline fully comes in halfway through the song...just beautiful.
Well, I'm startin' to get memories so I'm done.
