What kind of paint do I use to get the "Black Chrome" look

You see it on SoundSplinter subs, Some of TC Sounds/Audiopulse uses it. Its almost a black chrome color. I'tll be going on these:

Seeing I have chrome on it anyway, it should be easy. Not sure if I would have to sand it tho. I will custom make my own Eclipse vinyl to put back on it when its finished.

IMHO, this is not a good idea. But if looks are what your going forI would pick up some mixing clear, black metalic base and a air brush kit. This way you can play with the base and clear and get the look your going for. The air brush will let you put it on with less weight added to the cone.

Umm, I heard of painting the baskets, but not the cone. I wouldn't do it.

I personally don't get into the whole showing off your shit anymore. I learned my lesson the hard way. I say stealth is the way to go and hiding as much shit as possible.

jesus. you are all a bunch of super serious car audio freaks. i would not paint the cones on my expensive drivers. but its a little eclipse sub. prolly like $100ea tops.

just paint it man, whatever weight you add to the cone will be marginal at best and you will not notice any difference besides they look cooler.

do what you want, just make sure you do it the right way as sanding the cone will not be something i would like to do.
