What kind of 6x9's should I go with

Hey guys 95 mustang GT with Mach 460 box still mounted to rear deck so I'm thinking of going with 6x9s. I wouldnt mind 8's but probably will just go with 6x9's. I'm doing a 6 1/2 component set up front and 2 10 inch subs in a box in the trunk also. I've learned a good bit on the different subs you guys recommended I go with vs what I grew up going with as far as brands, but when it comes to 6x9s I should be fine with something like a Kicker or something like that am I correct? I was going to go with kicker subs but you guys have edcuated me on SSA, shok triton, sundown audio, ect. I'm thinking as for the 6x9's it shouldnt be that critical and kickers should be ok. That's just one brand I can think of off top of head and they sounded good in best buy. I'm going to go with a Hifonics Brutus 5 channel amp by the way.

good question. I will have Polk Audio 6 1/2 components in the front of the car and that is all i was going to go with as far as Hi's until I recently purchased an 04 Toyota Tacoma and heard how good the factory 4 5x7's sound, 2 up front and 2 in rear doors. I want my Hi's in the mustang to sound awesome as well and heck I even want a sub defeat switch so I can defeat the bass if I want to sometimes. I know guys here mentioned using the amps remote but I wonder how that remote will work with the amp being a 5 channel? I would only need to defeat the sub by the way so hopefully the remote will allow for that function.

with all of that said, I will have 2 10s for subs in a box so I'm thinking the 6x9's can be more for midbass so should I go with 6x9 subs or full range or even components?

I like the Kappa's myself but if you have to mod for regular 6x9's you'll be in for some work with the Kappa's.
