Reread my post. I said CDC and their state counterparts.... they. When using "they" (in a non ***** manner) one is referring to the subject of the sentence or the subject of the previous sentence. One certainly wouldn't be referring to others not previously mentioned. Furthermore, I specifically said that CDC is not responsible for what people outside the CDC say (ie Rachel Maddow).

You didn't just say Biden said it, you brought up that CDC didn't correct him.
FWIW, I doubt CDC corrected their Director specifically, but they should have.

I do remember both, nevertheless the idea originated with Trump. When Biden said something stupid you felt CDC should rather than just publishing the data and narrative to the contrary specifically call out Biden. This is exactly why CDC stays out of the politics side of things, you're splitting hairs over whether Trump should be called out vs Biden, searching for any little difference so you can justify one but not the other. CDC and gov't agencies in general are much better off staying out of the politics.
