Abstract
Although several clinical trials are now underway to test possible therapies, the worldwide response to the COVID-19 outbreak has been largely limited to monitoring/containment. We report here that Ivermectin, an FDA-approved anti-parasitic previously shown to have broad-spectrum anti-viral activity in vitro, is an inhibitor of the causative virus (SARS-CoV-2), with a single addition to Vero-hSLAM cells 2 h post infection with SARS-CoV-2 able to effect ~5000-fold reduction in viral RNA at 48 h. Ivermectin therefore warrants further investigation for possible benefits in humans

Now clarify this lie...

The best treatment for covid is the same treatment for the flu, let it run its course and you’ll be fine 🤷🏼‍♂️.

That doesn’t say Ivermectin is approved or recommended for COVID.

Don’t be like Buck. Read your “proofs” before you try to use them to support your narrative.
“Ivermectin therefore warrants further investigation for possible benefits in humans” - because it is used for other things.

And this is what the FDA says: https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/why-you-should-not-use-ivermectin-treat-or-prevent-covid-19#:~:text=The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for the,19 in people or animals.

  • The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals. Ivermectin is approved for human use to treat infections caused by some parasitic worms and head lice and skin conditions like rosacea.
  • Currently available data do not show ivermectin is effective against COVID-19. Clinical trials assessing ivermectin tablets for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in people are ongoing.
So why would you post something as if it proves that ivermectin is approved or even works?

Ivermectin studies have been going on since the beginning. None of them have proven promising enough for Merck to conduct a clinical trial, which is odd considering the cost of a clinical trial would be a drop in the bucket for Merck. I can only assume that mean Merck sees 0.00% chance of ivermectin being beneficial for covid patients. FYI, for those that can't get the human script, ivermectin is also a dog dewormer so you don't have to risk an ivermectin OD.

IIRC the FDA has approved ivermectin for covid for studies. Merck is still sitting on the sideline and unwilling to spend the drop in the bucket that would be an ivermectin trial. Seems odd.

I just pulled the data from the FDA website; I don’t know if they are doing background testing.

They ARE pushing hard against scam artists trying to sell it as a treatment or cure though: https://www.fda.gov/inspections-com...etters/wwwivermectin4covidcom-650184-03162023
“Therefore, FDA is taking urgent measures to protect consumers from certain products that, without approval or authorization by FDA, claim to mitigate, prevent, treat, diagnose, or cure COVID-19 in people. As described below, FDA has observed that your website offers drug products for sale in the U.S. that are intended to mitigate, prevent, treat, diagnose, or cure COVID-19.”

At least now that the variants seem to have weakened.

Been that way for the majority of the population and will continue to be. Since they have weakened that’s good news for the older crowd and those who are immunocompromised. Most likely the reason why no one is really getting vaxed anymore. Last winter it was like 50 million, at the start what was it 200 million who got it? Now they are pushing for this winter, they will be lucky if 20 million get the jab. It’s funny when you give people a choice. Sometimes imo all the mandates and vax cards etc was so the drug companies can make that money. Doesn’t matter to me though whatever it was, didn’t affect my life 🤷🏼‍♂️.

In the beginning, the choice was there. But with people dropping like flies, the choice was obvious for most. Kind of like the polio vax.

For the ones who didn’t see it as obvious, some lived and some died.

Now that it is closer to the common flu, the choice becomes less “obvious”, as it were.
Just like the flu shot. Some get it, some don’t. But we’re not dealing with mass deaths from it, so not the best comparison.

And it always should have been a choice. Too late for that now though cause what is done is done. Most on the right have a hard time letting it go, it ending isn’t enough but with something like this all you really have are the courts. When it eventually made to the courts and it was dubbed as unconstitutional, that is the win. Some think more is owed though but I have no clue what more could be had 🤷🏼‍♂️.

It always was. Several people on this chat can attest to it.
But yeah, times are changing.

Except that applies to about 5.7 million hospital workers prior to the pandemic.
The choice may cause hardship, but always a choice.

If you look at it that way, there is always a choice. A job you may have had for 15+ years but you’re a federal employee, federal contractor or in the medical field, you can choose your job or the vaccine. That is absolutely correct! We have to apply that logic across the board though to be fair. When illegal immigrants come here, we should say they had a choice to come here or not come here. Don’t give them anything, if they die fluck em 🤷🏼‍♂️. The next time a Republican governor buses or flies them to a democrat city, those people were presented with a choice to go. No one should complain about it anymore. Everytime someone gets killed by a cop and there is video evidence showing they resisted arrest, that person made a choice too. All those homeless people in california, that is a choice as well, their fault fluck em. Everything is a choice, even success is a choice. A pandemic though, is that really a choice 🤔. My opinion of course 🤷🏼‍♂️
