what is this tuned to???

hey guys...

i recently switched my XXX out for my funky pup and

made one small change to the box... i cut a 3" hole in

a 2.5^3 sealed box and jammed a 9" long port tube

in it... the pup sounds fine and i dont have port noises

so please dont flame my little experiment... but my

computers are in a shambles so i cant get to bass box

pro to find the tuning... i turned my SSF on, on my amp

just to be safe but id just like to know if anyone can

tell me what the heck this port is tuned to and how

many square inches of port area i have...

It is tuned to approx 26 Hz.

yea... your not gonna get port noise with 100rms on a woofer with 3mm xmax. no worries. LoL

it yet... and its way punchier than the XXX... and it moves more than

3mm...

dont worry... the XXX may re-debut in this version of the box since my

buyer backed out...

with a tuning that low do i even have to have the SSF turned on???

how many square inches of port is that???

Not really, unless you start playing tones below 20Hz... which music doesn't get to and you cannot hear anyways.

1.5 x 1.5 = 2.25

2.25 x 3.14 = 7.065 sq. in.
