What is the next step up in quality and price to a type R sub?

i have TWO type R 1022D alpine subs (the older 500rms model) dual 2 ohm. i can get the new models, two of them, for 250$ shipped online. if i was going to upgrade subs, what would you guys consider the next level subs right above the type R if i am looking for something a little louder, right now i have a alpine m1000 amp but that is under reconsideration as well if the sub changes. im looking for the very next level up of spl, but also the closest price to the alpine type R''s i can get. keep in mind i can get 2 for 250$.

EDIT: i want two 10's. louder than type r's but as close to the price of type r's as possible (even if the closest next step up is 300$ a woofer). aka, the next loudness step above type R's then out of all the of the ones that are the next loudness step up, the ones that are the cheapest you guys still recommend.

get to fi ssds tune low there great subs. u like lower tunning or higher. u can get 2 audioque 2.5 15s

get more power? how so? i have db on 0, gain 60% up and subs are bottoming out and popping with hu woofer level on +1 and volume on 24 out of 35....... i guess i dont get what you mean?

get to fi ssds tune low there great subs. u like lower tunning or higher. u can get 2 audioque 2.5 15s

he wants you to get a bigger amp so u can run better subs. its gona b hard to get 2 new subs for 250 shipped. thats nice or less u go with some budget subs.

there is alot then, type rs are ok there is so much u can do. so what do u want to spend at first u said 250 for 2 now its 500. come up with what u wana spend then go from there. u might wana up your power so i say sell your stuff off all of it but your head unit and door speakers. take your 250-500 cash along what you get for your setup u have now and get some nices 10s if thats what ya want or mayb one dc lvl 4 in a ported box.

huh im not sure what ya want . that made me kinda confused bro and thats REAL HARD TO DO. so u want 10 inch subs 2 of them? u want to keep your amp but u want to upgrade from your type r?along with upgrading your not looking to go all out but u want somthing a tad better. get 2 fi 10 inch ssds..

ok cool. i typed in fi ssd into woofer ect and found nothing. what site do you recommend i use to find/buy them? or can you only get them off of the fi website directly?
