Okay my brother has (2) Phoenix Gold Titanium 15d subs with a hifonics 1500D running them, its in a sealed box aprox. 4CF. It is inside of an 2002 Nissan Altima. Pretty big 4 door. I have (2) type R 12's in a 3.5CF ported box tuned to 38Hz, it is inside of an eclipse(small hatchback. Who do you believe would be louder?

What kind of power is going to the R's?

However, regardless of how much you go into detail of the install, it would be nearly impossible to determine what would be louder without actually listening...

Also, if you have both set ups installed, why cant you tell which is louder? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Probably pretty close.....it really depends on how much power you have........your box tuning is a little high for those R's

Pick a song. Play it in both cars. Write down results. Log onto caraudio.com and click message forums, and click on this thread.. and then inform US which is louder. I'm sure some people would like to know, and no one is in a better position to find out than you.

Radioshack meters work great for unofficial "who is louder" threads. They're cheap, and while they may not be accurate, they are consistant.

The PG's would be louder sir.

The shear cone area advantage.....sealed or not, it should be louder.

The ol' TI's were loud for what they were. Especially when they were discontinuing them, you could get great deals on them.
