What the heck is a "Rockboxed iPod"?

Check out http://www.rockbox.org , it is an open source media player for portable devices. You can "rockbox" an iPod by replacing the original firmware with the rockbox firmware. Then your iPod will look like a regular disc drive on your computer. You drag and drop file to the proper folder, then play them via the rockbox interface on the iPod, which has dozens of skins.

The big deal to me is being able to play FLAC files created with Exact Audio Copy.
