What is a good speaker wire size for midbass and tweets?

What is the usual size for male terminal ends of midbass and tweeter speakers so I can purchase the appropriate female connectors and speaker wire?

I'm guessing around 16 gauge for door speakers and 10-12 gauge for subwoofer speakers? I'm asking because I want a secure fit with my connectors so they won't slip off but they will also fit on.

14awg would be sufficient for the mids. I also have 16awg to my tweets, it depends on how much power you're going to run
