What is a flat piston sub?

I was reading about a certain brand of sub getting a bad rep because of a series of flat piston subs they produced a while back.

eD a,o and k, it was only the 15" versions.

That was a long long time ago.

Flat Piston is usually referred to as the PPI Flat piston, not even close to eD's flatcone's

like the old A series from eD, arc audio flatlines or somthin and some ppi flat pistons? cant really remember the names

There were some PPi's on Ebay not too long ago.....

As for the Arc Audio Flatline, that subs rocks!!! I was just listening to one on a JBL 1100 in a new Charger and it sounded very nice!!! Pretty much every car that sub sounds nice in!!!

i have the flatline 12 d2 and i love it... as the previous person said it sounds good in every car... for a while there i only had about 200 watts on it and everyone coulda swore i had 1000w and 2 15's... i have it paired with the 2500xxk and 4.5 cub custom box with removable port and it rocks

I loved those PPI Pro flat pistons. They were some beautiful sounding subs. Not the loudest subs but sounded very nice sealed.
