What imports aren't ricers?

I was just wondering what cars that are foriegn aren't ricers? I would love a muscle car but I mean if I can get way more gas mileage and just as much horsepower, I'd rather take a cheap tuner car.
I got an average 24mpg in a bolt-on LS1 Trans Am, if you like the 4th Gen. F-body cars its something to look into.

you cant get the same amount of horses oout of a civic as a corvette or viper....so no you cant get as much power

WRONG!, one of my employess at my shop has a 92 civic hatchback with a b16 in it, we built the **** out of that thing and it took a corvette by 4 lengths in the 1/4 mile, the hatch has 620 to the wheels with nitrous.

rciers arent cars they are people, people who get cars, put wheels, intake, and exaust on them and think that they can go street race. to sum them up a better word would be "wannabee"

HAHAHA Your totally on crack. Euro-tuned cars are probably THE most riced out cars. Actually, I truely think THEY started the riced out trend. Pick up ANY euro tuner magazine or read into the archive or there publication and you will see more rice than japanese farmland.
Most any tuner car is riced out. Actually, most higher end cars are riced cars or for more words, less clean cars. I look at rice as prettymuch anything that has to do with flashy modifications. Its not necesaraly UNNECCESARY mods, because areo "bodykits" will increase areodynamics and create downforce but some that look flat ugly and stupid and are cheap **** are rice to me.

Supra's, 300zx, RX7's. etc are riced because the owners have too much money and just take it to a shop and the shop does everything it can to make a profit. They do this by buying bodykits and TV's and **** and they end up looking like flashy guido-type cars.

If you want a tuner car and dont want that ricer mantra, get a VIP style car. Cars like an Infinity Q45, Lexus SC430 or other higher end luxury japanese cars.

If you want something with alittle more spirit and performance/handling, maybe something like a Subaru wrx/sti (i have one and HATE the owners because they are all pretty much dumbass ricers haha, but love the car!), Mitsubishi Evo (most arent riced because most are poor college kids with no other money to mod them!), Mazdaspeed 3, Acura TSX Type-R, and MANY others.

Just keep it CLEAN with no significant body mods or anything that is flashy and IN YOUR FACE. Get quality parts and build it up right!
I agree 110% Look at the euro mags of the mid and late 90's to early 00's... Easily ricer status.

If you're going to go VIP use tires upto the spec and size for the wheels please.

Oh, And the SC300 is Basically a N/A supra with a slightly longer wheelbase. Great car with a laundry list of mods that can be done to it.

Rice isnt anything that comes with the car, Rice is something you do to the car. Rice is in the owner, the vehicle just reflects it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif That being said its possible to rice out a Vette, and still have an import thats done tastefully.

yes but it has a differnt engine in it and the piss modded out of it you can mod a vette out as much and it would spank that civic in a heartbeat

My 93 Eagle Talon TSi, fully built 2.3 stroker motor , gt35r .....10sec 4banger ...Dont get many V8s on the street that can even stay with me. Replacement for displacement=Big fcukin turbo

umm well im not arguing with you that your car is fast but just to throw it out there they make a lingelfeltor corvette that goes from 0-60 in 1.97 seconds and will smoke about any car you guys can think of

Thats a borderline sleeper.

If it wasnt for the hood (and depending on the exhaust too) it looks like any other talon with a mild suspension and rims. Nicely done (for the most part, lol), hows the reliability?

Oh here we go again...

Thing to the left of my car, as most of you know, has a small 2.0 liter engine. Right now it is pumping out 435 rwhp and approx 280 torque. For those that say that it isn't much torque, it weighs about 400-500 pounds less than a corvette (2800 pounds). It's going back to InlinePro soon in Virginia to get a new intercooler, radiator, retune, and axles/driveshaft/rear diff and will be over 600 hp on C16 racegas and over 500 hp on pump gas on a conservative tune, on a STOCK BLOCK. Ya, a corvette can put out more power, but it also costs more, and costs more to mod. Don't underestimate the power of rice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Im almost postive that the "Ricer" term, means that the fuel will turn into a rice shaped bead before it is fed into the injecter therefore giving better gas milage. So almost any cars can be ricers.

No need for race gas

427 CID 725 BHP / 730 lbs-ft of torque

0-60 MPH 3.2 seconds with street tires

1/4 mile 9.50 @ 145 MPH with ET street tires

Estimated top speed 230+

Lingenfelter 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty Excellent drivability, highway mileage not adversely affected

Kind of hard to beat a 9.50, 725hp/730tq and a top speed of 230mph with a 3 yr 36k mile warranty

and like how most every other car besides the Honda have a form of VTEC

After all the work thats been done to that S2000, theres no chance in hell its as cheap as a vette, or as reliable.

Stats alone make me....

and if you spent as much money modding a vette it would eat that thing as a snack
But the corvette costs 40K more to begin with. I would consider the s2000's mods fair just to break even on money out of pocket vs the corvette.
