Okay so...for those who are in highschool football...at least here in texas practices can now start as of today....and we have an anual "midnight madness" where we kick off our 2 a days at midnight on the 1st day possible...so i just went from midnight to 7am with football practice....any of yall in highschool sports have any sort of gayass 'rituals' like ours?

Our schools football has been practicing since early May. I just got back from cc... ran about 5 miles. I run everyday, so i guess thats a ritual eh?

I played football in Highschool (starting offensive Guard 3 years), we had a pretty good team too, we won district twice, and made it to the semi-finals once. For any of yall still playing highschool sports, make the best of it, because those are some of the best days of your life.

Well.....I wish I was still playing basketball. I loved playing against people, and loved my position.

I started as a 225lb 6'5 center and scored 16 points a game with a FGP of 53%. The highest on my team and I was also the second fastest running a 4.8 in a 40. (coach took us to the football field to see how fast we were)

But we got a new coach.....

He told me all kinds of bullshit. "All Ive heard since I came here is Seth Seth Seth. I believe I can make you a superstar scoring 20 or more points a game."

Quite naturally I was down with the idea and worked my *** off everyday to the point of passing out. And then came our first day of camp, and I was stoked. I knew I had gotten better and I was going to lay the other team out. But I walked in and the coach called me into his office. He sat me down and said and I quote "Seth....I called you in here to tell you something that me and coach davis have decided and we feel that it is best. I'm cutting you from the team. I feel as if your not reliable and you get hurt a lot, and I feel as if I can't depend on you. Also, I dont think you are a good enough leader to lead this team. So, I feel its best to let you go now instead of dragging you on."

Now...he didnt want to drag me on....but he put me through a week of hell. Running constantly, drills, drills drills, running, drills and more drills and more running. Also, he told all of us before that he would not cut anyone and that he would forget about the past.

I never got hurt in that weeks time. The only way he would know if I got hurt is from going through last years films. In which sometimes Id get hurt diving after a loose ball and hitting a wall or something, but Id always get back up and keep playing. The only time I ever stopped was when I busted my bursa sac in my left elbow and it swelled up to the size of a canelope and I couldnt bend my arm.

Also keep in mind.....this is my senior year. And I have played basketball all through highschool and worked to get to where I am right now. Then this guy comes in and cuts me loose. I got to the very top of the mountain and was about to climb up and he comes and pushes me back down.

Anyways, that turned into a lifestory....forgive me.

Thats ****ed up man! I tried out on our basketball team im 6'3" 285 haha I could score baskets but I was hurting alot of players in practice they said to stick to football or I would end up killing someone. I would drive every time take like 2 people out it was awesome. Dude who was the fastest on your team? cause im not talking shit or anything but 4.8 isnt that quick thats what I run as well and we had kids on the team running 4.4 and 4.5 ****ers.
