what hz tuneing

i have 2 tc 1000 8"s that im going to be putting in my 07 tundra. This is my first time playing with 8's so i have no clue where to tune these things. Ive never really heard any 8's that impressed me back in the day but from what everyone tells me about these little things they are monsters. The truck is my daily driver, but i want it low and "loud". thanks!

I'm guessing 32-35 is a good enough start. Just because they're 8s doesn't mean the tuning will be different from a sub of a different size.

really? i havnt tried these things out yet and i dont have the moneys to try a few boxes before i find a tuneing i like. But if they act like normal subs ill tune it to 32 hz..i like lows //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

8's wont drop that low, i would tune to 32+ like drag said...

I wouldnt tune em lower then 35hz. a good 35hz box will make em drop NICELY down to 32hz or so, and still sound good and be loud

I know people on this site have used these before, what were their boxes tuned to? how did they sound? Will these things sound kinda "hollow" because they are so small? or is that just a myth?
