i think SPL140 or Jeremiah tested the 12s and 10s to like 5000 - 7000ish....but not to much gain at that much one said i believe

i just got a PM from pioneerpimp asking about this.

my AQ run A LOT cooler than my fully loaded btl did. i could feel my dust cap on the btl and it would be warm off 3k. i do the same thing to my HDC...nothing. not a hint...

i would say the AQ can probably take 4k just fine.

well i decided to get the sub. now the problem is i want a 15 but the ****ing trunk in my altima is big enough but the opening isnt(for a box) the seats dont fold down you have to basically rip the *****es apart to unbolt them and then behind that is a metal sheet god if i only know how to get it off. so will i honestly notice that much difference between the 12 and 15. because i have no other way i can get a 15 in there. what a pain in the ***

any suggestions? the 12 will be ran off 2000rms @1ohm and the 15 would of been off the same.

What year Altima? I have 2 HD315's in the trunk of my 2000. You can fit a single 15 in there no problem.

I'm up near Gurnee if you need help removing the metal behind the rear set, just shoot me a PM....

You only need 4^3 or so at 38-40Hz, so box won't be that big. Might be able to get it through the trunk opening. I had a 15" Tempest in 4+ cubes in a '93 Altima, but had to do a wedge box...
