If your amp does 1200 watts at 2ohms, and you want to use two subs, you need to look for either SVC4ohm or DVC2ohm subs. What amp are you using exactly?

I doubt that amp pushes that much power out. Get it if thats what u want set the gains with a dmm and be good.

I'm not trolling, i'm actually new to car audio and im just trying to put together a system, pretty unsuccesfully

You can wire your subs to 2ohms, so you'll get whatever that amp puts out at 2ohms, divided between the sub...each sub gets half. Do you actually have the stuff already?

Without knowing anything about that amp, I'd be hesitant to get it. Is it a popular brand where you're at? Do you know the fuse rating on that thing?

If it is a decent amp, and does rated power, then I'd get it and run it at 2ohms. Then if you feel like upgrading in the future you have the ability to run it at 1ohm for more power...or you could just do that in the first place and get some beefier subs, if your electrical can handle it.

those type Rs should handle that no problem. just dont clip the **** out of them with that amp.
