What Happened?

Ok i got alpine mono amp i dont kno how many watts is on it and legacy 800watt "12 and recently put in 2 dhd "12 1000w each and my car was working fine until yesterday when i went to start it and i get nothing not a sound, light , nothing my battery is dead i even tried getting a jump and that still didnt work. can someone tell me what the problem is? and is there a better battery i can get? and if i need a cap whats the best one a can get. I DRIVE A 92 BUICK REGAL CUSTOM

stay away from caps.....Get a new battery and then carry it straight to a good install shop...pay them a little to fix everything right in your car again so you can enjoy your system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

mighta killed ur altinator or blown a fuse in ur car.

x2 dont get a cap, better bat, right wire, right alternator=no cap for the most part

Man I had this same problem, I was rollin on the freeway then lights dimmed then engine lag, pulled over to unhook the system from the battery, but the battery died while driving. tryd to jump it, but still didnt work, one time it did, but lasted less than a minute. then dead again. It happend to be the wire had a hole burnt into it, maybe because the wire was crappy, but it touched metal thus grounding the + of the battery and it cant hold a charge again. If I had a fuse this might of not happend, maybe. But get a new battery, its not the alt most likely. check your wiring. maybe you dont have a fuse. make sure the battery got really tight conections, this was my problem another time

jus got a new battery and errthang is ok for now on untill i get a switch im goin to pop the hoop and detatch my power from the battery JUST IN CASE
