So i have this diamond ring i bought that, well, i don't need anymore. Jeweler won't take it back (past 30 days). I've always wanted a pistol, but never had the money to just throw away. Well i'm gonna take this ring up to a pawn shop and trade it for a gun. What kinda pistol should i be lookin for?

Please, keep discussion on-topic. All i'm asking is what's a nice thing to look out for? For a good first pistol.

The best price i could get around here was a trade in offer of up to 1200, but i had to trade it in, and spend twice as much as i traded. So if i did that deal, i'd have to spend 2400, and i am still just getting a **** ring. I don't want the ring lol! I want a pistol!

Let me let you in on a little secret...jewelry is WORTHLESS!

You want to know why the jeweler won't take it back, you have been dooped into buy in a worthless rock. If you were willing to pay $3000 for that ring originally, the jeweler only gave ~$600....if even that.

We have jewelers come in to the shop from time to time and buy rings we have priced for $500-700, clean em a little and put them in their case for $2500+++.

Want to test what I am telling you, take the ring to ANY jeweler and get it appraised. When they tell you its "worth", offer to sell it for 1/4 of what they tell you. They will back out on you every time.

Oh, and that hole 'trade-up' thing you were offered is just a good way for the jeweler to make at least $1500 off you.
