i started to put my system in like a week ago, got everything hooked up. turned the key over and it was bumping fine, so i got ready to go and started the car and they started making really bad engine noise. and then theyd sorta pop a little bit. so i unplugged em right away, and regrounded it, tried 3 diff sets of rcas, reran power, and swapped decks. not sure what else it could be...

What amp you running?

How close are your RCAs to your power wire?
Opposite side of the car. Tried backing up to my old car where they worked and ran the rcas from that car to the amp in the other car and it did the same thing. Its weird tho cuz everything worked fine in my old car. Same equipment just swapped cars. O and its grounded to the frame.

Just grasping at straws here, but make sure your radio ground is sufficient, also do u have a equalizer? Try running your rcas just over the seats to see if something's messing with the rcas where they are ran. Do ur rcas run close to your amp ground?

Make sure rcas connections are not near metal also try to change out ur rcas.
iv tried 3 sets... i actually just backed up this car to my other one that these subs were in before and ran those rcas to the amp in this car and it did the same thing.

i have tried running em over the seats.... and my rca's come out under the back seat and are on opposite sides of the amp and thats as close as they get.

i havnt tried reground the hu... ill try that tonight!

He said he has tried 3 sets of rcas.....
Oh sorry. Check the quick disconnects on the speakers too, i installed some new speakers yesterday and the connections were loose and the speaker connections were close to the metal and caused a whine
