What gas mpg does your truck get?

my f150 gets about, on average 16-17 mpg.

is there anything to improve it without spending money. like i know a chip would help and air filter and headers and whatever. but is there any little things that i can do to improve it as much as i can?

i try to keep my rpms under 2k all the time. but its hard with straight pipes

basically what everyone else said:

air filter

tire pressure

no lead foot

oil changes regularly

it is said to fill up ur tank b4 u get lower then 1/4's a tank

don't use AC

keep ur tailgate down or put a net there.

Fail. Studies show tailgate down or tailgate net is less aerodynamic than tailgate up. Hard tonneau cover, however, is more aerodynamic than open bed.

air filter oil filters shift to nuetral on downhills. haha if a buddy has a f150 too go half on one of those programmers that dont have to stay installed and just split cost and then sell on ebay.

If its all town I get 10-11

If its all Hwy I get 16.5

if i lay off the gas peddle in my pickup and keep it under 1800 rpm i get about 17mpg. Dam thing is a gas hog.

Will get about 17mpg on a road trip, but normally about 12.
