what freq's does this block

I bought this bass blocker today at a audio shop for 10 bucks and i feel it did nothing

its a dayton mpt 12uf 250v 5% audio grade

what frequencys does this block i hooked it up to my 1" compression drivers and i didnt notice anything different still let the bass through

i know i seen what you said in the other thread but i was wondering about this bass blocker i bought today if it was a waste of money or if it will do the same as the ones in the other thread

Did you wire it in series or parallel? A 12 micro farad capacitor should cross ~3300hz, therefore being completely worthless as a bass blocker.

It should be in the range of 400 micro farads for a 100hz crossover point.

Yea no. That says 5,600hz @ 4 ohms.

well the link i posted does 2.8khz on 8ohms so i am gonna wire one on each driver or should i wire one up at the amp at a 4ohm load

w/e i need could you find for me bc i am lost in what i need exactly

i know tommorow i am gonna tell that dude to give my 10 bucks back bc it did nothing at all

these are just for only pure horns is what i am running right now they are hooked up in the grill of my truck for partys and what not i know some people may say they are dumb but i like them

well these horns arent for the inside of my car for the outside for partys and what not when i need loudmusic and such

for the inside of my car i have 2 12's l7's aeroported box built by mobeious and soon to have i will have polk momo comps 6.5 amped on a kicker 850.4 only gonna run 2 channels to the front and gonna get some revs as rear fill and amp then about half as much as the front

so the link i sent will work for those horns and block out the bass or at least most of it

i tried ordering them and used paypal to pay but it says funds arent as much as my order but yet the order is 12 bucks and in my account i have well over that much and it says to add a credit card i am like wtf

I just put some bass blockers on my Eminence tweets that were layin around and they worked great. I didnt even know what frequencies they blocked, but figured it was better than nothin.

Got lucky, and it worked great for me.
