What exactly is XBL^2 motor

I have looked around on the internet for what exactly is the XBL^2 motor and I cant find anything but..... blah subwoofer uses xbl2.....xbl2 allows for less distortion...yadda yadda yadda. Does anyone know exactly what it is in detail, or a link that i can find more info on it. Thanks guys
