"Good amp.......for the price"

What exactly do people mean by this? I see people saying that about MB Quart and Audiopipe amps on here all the time. Why can't they just be amazing amps regardless of price. You don't have to spend a crazy amount of money to get a high quality amp. I would take an MB Quart 2000.1D or Audiopipe 3000 over a lot of these more expensive amps that put out the same power.

the phrase is pretty self-explanatory. They are saying that for the price that is being offered it is a good quality amp. Some amps are over priced for the specs and quality they come with.......

It means you're getting a great value for your money. What more is there to explain? There are tons of other amps that are good, and others that are in a completely different league, but not for the money. Law of diminishing returns - how much more are you willing to pay for marginal improvement?

As I so often find myself telling my wife..."Sometimes you actually do get what you pay for!"

There's a reason that companies like Stetsom, Arc, and Hertz (just to name a few) charge more for their products.

There are lots of companies that make quality products but have to keep their profits low because if they start charging more, people will say "why get product A when you can get product B for the same price." Then you get stuck in the loophole of "if it's cheaply priced, its cheaply made."

So I guess an Arc, or an Audison amp aren't any better than Crunch, or Boss? I stand by my statement that SOMETIMES you do actually get what you pay for. Not always, but sometimes.

Never said Crunch or Boss, but a lot of the forum boners like AP and MBQ are boners because they're great values for the money.

Never said that they aren't good values for the money, I never once said or implied that. Is an Audison a better amp than an MB, absolutely...is it worth the price...that's up to the person considering it. You specifically said that they charge more simply because they can, where I'm saying, that they charge more because it is a better amp. AGAIN, I'm not saying the others aren't good for the money...the other amps are higher quality/better amps...therefore they cost more.
