yeah, but the cool thing with reason is that if you open a new device in a correct order or have you template set up with a mixer ready to go, you don't have to worry about that at all. and the click and attach feature, (like clicking on a synth and then opening a compressor for instance), automatically wires it correctly... very easy imo...Fruity Loops, Acid, and REASON are some good programs. All cost money.You could always... "acquire" them through other means.
All three are work-station programs.
FL is more like Garage Band than a work-station, while ACID and REASON are both work station identicals. I believe Reason actually emulates a work station VIA a GUI, so you see all the equipment, you can turn it around and plug wires into different things. It's all cool and all, but gets rather annoying and tedious.
but i use nuendo with vst's and analog gear... digital is cool and all, but i dig on hardware...
