I am getting my system put in tommorow in my Acura MDX w/ the bose stock system (head unit, amps, components). The installer said they could installer an optional bose interface for 25 dollars, but im not really sure what that would do? Does that mean the rear bose speakers would work with the aftermark head unit or what?

should I not get it then? They were gonna charge me an extra 25 bucks. If i don't buy it, is there anyway to make the rear bose speakers still work? THey sound find for rear fill, they don't distort, they just don't get loud enough.

sounds to me like it would allow you to use the factory bose amps with an aftermarket hu. For your rears, I guess.
do you think it is a mistake running stockers with amped components? In my old car I had only front speakers, but it was fine becuse it was a small coupe sports car. BUt now i have a mid sized SUV.

i dunno. it depends on how you like rear fill. theres nothing wrong with having bose rear fill
i don't really care about it because im used to having no rear fill in my old car, but i have no idea how it will sound like in a bigger car.
