Veneered birch (with voids) in 9 ply 3/4 inch is around 45 bucks....

Void Free Baltic birch 13 ply is around 80-100 for 5 x 5 sheet...

You want the latter for the best performance.

on sale now at home depot in logan ut. it's 29.97 a sheet with minimal void cabinet grade 4X8 sheet

I would love to see a side by side test of the7-9 ply birch vs the 13 ply and show me how it is that much better. I used the Home Depot grade birch in my wall, and found VERY FEW voids. The outside edges of the sheets I bought had 0 voids. I think I found maybe 4-5 voids throughout all 5 sheets of birch.

i didn't see any fir....our wood selection around here blows...all we have left is Lowe's and Menards...HD is going out of business, but i did buy 8 Porter Cable brand router bits for $60
